Tuition and Fees

The School for Strings offers four 12-week terms each year of individual weekly lessons for violin, viola, cello and double bass students.

We bill each term in 3 monthly installments. There are three different lengths of individual lessons available: 30 minute, 45 minute, and 60 minute weekly lessons.

School for Strings Ensembles

For students in our ENSEMBLES, there is an additional $125 charge in the fall and winter terms. Ensembles include Corelli orchestra for beginner students, Festivo orchestra for advanced students, chamber ensembles, string quartets,  and Fiddle Club for all students.


Billing Information

Your monthly statements come in an email from "Intuit" on approximately the 15th of every month. Please see that these do not go to your "spam" folder. All monthly installments are payable by the 10th of the following month. Payments received after the the 10th may not appear on your next statement.

Please either give your payment directly to your teacher or mail to our post office box: School for Strings; P. O. Box 610046, Port Huron, MI, 48061-0046. The post office does not deliver mail to our physical address and your payment could be lost in the mail.

Monthly statements list all charges, with the date, the item and fee plus any payments received in the far left column. Your running balance shows in the far right column. Find the amount due in the bottom square of that (far right column).

For any questions concerning your statement, please contact the director, Dr. Brown, directly as our bookkeeper will not have the information to answer your questions or change your statement.
